Srinivasa Farms plans expansion programme

Srinivasa Farms is planning an expansion programme to set up hatcheries in Haryana, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Jharkhand and Chhattisgarh. The total project investment is expected to be around ₹ 3000 million. The company is planning to raise ₹ 1500 million through a stake sale to IFC, besides taking a loan to the tune of ₹ 1500 million.

It is planning to increasing the breeding capacity of layers to 7.5 crore from the present four crore layers and 5.5 crore broilers from three crore by 2021.It plans to venture into food processing and ready-to-cook/eat categories.

It may be noted that, the company has already setting up a production facilities in the upcoming mega food park in Prakasam district of Andhra Pradesh. The project is likely to go operational by April 2019
