Sahyadri SSK plans expansion programme at Yeshwantnagar sugar mill

Sahyadri Sahakari Sakhar Karkhana Ltd is planning to expand its sugar mill in Yeshwantnagar in Karad in Satara district of Maharashtra. The project involves expanding sugarcane crushing capacity from 7500 tcd to 13200 tcd, distillery capacity from 45 klpd to 145 klpd and a cogeneration power plant of 24 MW. The project cost is estimated at Rs. 3000 million.

As of October 2018, the project is in the planning stage and the work on the project is likely to begin in February 2019.
