Modi Industries Ltd is planning to expand its distillery in Begumbad in Ghaziabad district of Uttar Pradesh. The project involves expanding molasses based distillery production capacity from 18 klpd to 30 klpd. It will produce Ethanol & Rectified Spirit/Extra Neutral Alcohol (in IMFL bottling plant), malt spirit (2 klpd) and a cogeneration power plant of 0.5 MW. Land required for the project is already available. The project cost is estimated at ₹ 200 million.
