About the Company :
Adani Wilmar Limited (AWL) is a joint venture incorporated in January 1999 between Adani Group and Wilmar International Limited – Singapore. Its business activities include oil palm cultivation, oilseed crushing, edible oil refining, sugar milling and refining, specialty fat,oleochemical, biodiesel and fertilizer manufacturing and grain processing. It has refineries in 17 strategic locations across India, has 8 crushing units and 18 toll packing units. Cumulatively, this translates to a refining capacity of over 10400 tonnes per day, seed crushing capacity of 7400 tonnes per day and packaging capacity of 9000 tonnes per day.
In October 2019, the company is planning to foray into ready-to-eat segment with launch of Bengali Khichidi. The company has extended its edible oil brand ‘Fortune’ for the product. It contains local rice- basmati rice for the Punjabi variant, Gobindo bhog for the Bengali variant, and jeerasar rice for the Gujarati variant.
