About the Company :
Baramati Agro Ltd. (BAL) is an agro-based company incorporated on 1988 is a fully-integrated poultry group with its own Layer Farm (1,25,000 Birds) and Broiler Parent Farm (75,000 Birds) and an automated modern dressing plant with a processing capacity of 8,000 birds per day. The company sells its products under the brand name of Fresh, Omega Rich and Mineats.
BAL has also set up its sugar factory with an installed capacity of 2500 TCD at Shetphal Gadhe, Taluka – Indapur, Maharashtra. The sugar plant commenced operations from FY08 (refers to the period April 1 to March 31). During FY10, the installed capacity of the sugar plant was increased to 4300 TCD. At the same site, during FY10, the company also commenced operations at its molasses-based distillery unit with an installed capacity of 60 KLPD for the manufacture of Extra Neutral Alcohol (ENA), Rectified Spirit (Rs.), Specially Denatured Spirit and Ethanol.
From FY11, the company also commenced operations of its 22 MW bagasse-based co-generation unit at the same site. The surplus power post in house consumption for sugar plant and distillery is being sold to Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Ltd. (MSEDCL),under a Power Purchase Agreement.
