IIHR develops mushroom fortified rasam mix

Indian Institute of Horticultural Research has developed a Mushroom Fortified Instant Rasam Mix. Mushrooms are always a rich source of proteins when compared to common fruits and vegetables with the exception of beans and peas. It is recommended for diabetics and those who are watching cardiac health. Besides, mushrooms are a source of various bioactive substances which have antibacterial, antifungal, antiviral, antioxidant, anti-inflammatory properties. To make mushroom in our daily food habit, IIHR has developed this fortified mix, which can be added to our daily food and also increase our daily mineral intake.
