Brihans Maharashtra Sugar Syndicate is planning to expand its distillery in Shreepur in Malshiras Tehsil in Solapur district of Maharashtra. The project involves expanding molasses based distillery from 35 klpd to 65 klpd with an investment of ₹ 480 million.
The new plant will produce Rectified spirit, absolute alcohol, extra neutral alcohol, malt spirit, grape spirit and potable liquor. As of December 2018, the project is in planning stage.
