Indian Sucrose is planning to set up a distillery in Chak Allabaksh and Mahiuldinpur Dalel in Tehsil-Mukerian in Hoshiarpur district of Punjab. The project involves setting up of a molasses based distillery with a production capacity of 120 klpd. It will produce absolute alcohol also known as ethyl alcohol. The project also involves setting up of a 4.0 MW cogeneration power plant.
The project cost is estimated at ₹ 1,600 million.
