Central Arecanut and Cocoa Marketing and Processing Cooperative (Campco) Ltd is planning to set up a godown at Kavu village in Puttur taluk of Dakshina Kannada district. The godown will have 1.31 lakh sq ft godown will be built at a cost of ₹24.5 crore at Kavu. It will go operational by early 2020. The cooperative did not have a master godown till now. It was dependent upon others, such as the APMC in Puttur. The new facility will have provisions to store commodities such as arecanut, cocoa, rubber and black pepper and will have total capacity to store 10,000 tonnes of goods and is spread across 12 acres of land.
As of January 2019, the project is in planning stage and foundation stone is laid.
