Shri Gurudatt Sugars Ltd is planning to expand its sugar mill in Akiwat Takaliwadi Road in Shirol Tehsil in Kolhapur district of Maharashtra. The project involves expanding sugar production capacity from 6000 tcd to 13000 tcd, co-generation power plant capacity from 21 MW to 69 MW, setting up of new distillery unit of 150 klpd. Land required for the project is around 55 acres which is already available. The project cost is estimated at ₹ 3,500 million.
