Tamil Nadu Small Industries Development Corporation (SIDCO) has set up an integrated seafood park at Sakkarakottai in Ramanathapuram district of Tamil Nadu. The park will house micro small and medium enterprises (MSME) seafood processing units. The park is spread over 50 acre of land parcel off East Coast Road and adjoining the Ramanathapuram-Thoothukudi National Highway. The project has been developed at a cost of ₹ 220 million.
The project has received financial assistance from the Japan International Cooperative Agency (JICA) and the state government.
