Department of Fisheries, Tamil Nadu is planning to develop an integrated fishing harbour at Thengapattinam in Kanniyakumari district of Tamil Nadu.
It may be noted that, the department has invited bids in July 2018, for consultancy services for conducting detailed surveys, mapping of existing infrastructures, investigations and model studies for preparing techno-economic feasibility report and detailed project report (DPR) for the project.
As of November 2019, the project is in planning stage and DPR is being prepared.
