Savsons Spirits Pvt Ltd is planning to set up a grain based distillery in Kokatnur in Athani in Belagavi district of Karnataka. The project involves setting up of a 100 klpd distillery, a 5 tpd corn oil plant and a 3.0 MW cogeneration power plant. The project cost is estimated at ₹ 115.0 crore. Land required for the project is around 24 acres. The new distillery will produce total spirit 96% v/v, ethanol fuel, extra neutral alcohol and also impure spirits. As of November 2019, the project is in planning stage.
