Britannia Industries Ltd is planning to set up a greenfield manufacturing facility in Uttar Pradesh. The company has sought incentives from the state government in form of state goods and services tax (SGST) reimbursement, capital subsidy, etc. in relation to its planned investment.
It plans to set up the facility in Hardoi or Barabanki district and is scouting for land to the tune of 30 acres. The new facility will produce confectionary products and other bakery products. The total project investment will be in the range of ₹ 3,000 million.
As of July 2020, the project is in planning stage.
