JGN Sugar and Biofuels is planning to expand its sugar mill in Sarkada/Nakatpura in Sitarganj in Udhamsingh Nagar district in Uttarakhand. The project involves expanding sugar production capacity from 2,500 tcd to 10,000 tcd, installation of 19.0 MW cogeneration power unit, a grain based distillery of 400 klpd.
