Jhunjhunwala in 1961, which is a diversified and multi-product conglomerate with interests in a wide range of industries such as Textile, Graphite, Electrodes, Power Generation, Information Technology, IT enabled services, Healthcare BPO, etc. The Group has a significant presence in the overseas markets and has been in existence for over 5 decades. At Consolidated Group level, revenues and PAT stood at around Rs 6173 Crs and Rs 217 Crs respectively as of March 31, 2016. The Group’s consolidated Net worth is around Rs 4517 Crs.

The company is engaged in the business of manufacturing a wide range of yarns and fabrics including woollen/worsted yarn, synthetics yarn, blended viscose fabrics, silk fabrics, furnishing and fashion fabrics. The manufacturing facilities are at Mandapam, Bhilwara, Rajasthan. The product profile of BSL Ltd. ranges from wool, wool-blended and premium lightweight fabrics, and other specialized fabrics blended with Lycra, Silk, Linen etc.

BSL markets its products under the brands BSL Suitings, La-Italia and Geoffrey Hammonds. Around 52% of revenue is from exports. The company exports to around 54 countries located primarily in North and South America, Europe, Middle East and Far East. The company has a strong network of dealers, agents and direct customers all across India. Its operations predominantly relates to Textiles (99.69% revenues in FY16). However, the company has two wind power plants of 2.4 MW (for outside sales) and 2 MW capacity (for captive use) located in Village Gorera, Jaisalmer and Village Ola, Jaisalmer respectively and generation of wind power contributes around 0.31% of total revenue.
