Lakshmi Energy & Foods Ltd (LEFL) started its operations in 1981 as a partnership firm. The company is primarily involved in the processing and selling of basmati and non-basmati rice. LEFL’s over 1 mmtpa paddy processing plant is located in Khamanon, Punjab. The facility also has a 90, 000 mtpa solvent extraction unit, 9, 000mtpa oil refining unit, 30, 000mtpa wheat flour unit and a 30MW bio-mass plant.
It has aggregate storage capacity of around 1mmt. LEFL markets its product under the umbrella brand ‘Lakshmi Foods’ with several sub brands.
