Lokmangal Agro Industries Ltd. (LAIL) was incorporated in the year 1998 by families of farmers with Mr. Subhash Deshmukh and his family members being the largest shareholders. Initially, a 1250 TCD plant was commissioned but the crushing capacity was doubled to 2500 TCD in the year 2007. In addition to its own sugar facility during FY 2008, the company took two 1250 TCD capacity sugar facility from Shethkari Sahakari Shakar Karkhana Ltd. and Tuljabhavani SSK Ltd. situated in Latur and Osmanabad districts at a distance of 100-150 km., on five years lease basis (i.e. SY 2007-08 to SY 2011-12). The existing sugar plant also has cogeneration facility of 1.5 MW capacity which is used entirely for captive purpose by the sugar plant.
