Lokmangal Mauli Industries Ltd was incorporated in August 2007 to undertake sugar and sugar-related production by Mr Subhash Deshmukh (Founder chairman) and Mr Ravikant Patil (Managing Director) with an installed capacity of 6,000 tonnes of cane crushed per day (TCD). To mitigate the seasonal and cyclical nature of sugar industry, LMIL has also installed Cogeneration unit of 30 mega-watt (MW).The partially integrated sugar factory of LMIL is located at Post Khed, Taluka Lohara, Dist. Osmanabad Maharashtra. LMIL is a part of Solapur-based Lokmangal Group (LG). The LG also comprises sister concerns of LMIL, engaged in the sugar manufacturing, currently operational, namely, Lokmangal Sugar Ethanol & Co-generation Industries Ltd incorporated in 2003 and Lokmangal Agro Industries Limited incorporated in 1998. As on December 31, 2014, the cumulative installed capacity of LG group stood at 14,500 TCD for sugar crushing, 70 MW of co- generation unit and 160 KLPD of distillery unit operations.
