Maa Rewa Sugars Private Limited was incorporated in 2015 and commenced operations of its 1500 tcd sugar mill in November 2015. The sugar mill also setting up a 2.5 MW captive power generation capacity which is fuelled using bagasse generated in the sugar production. The company is a combined venture by Goyal family of Sedhwa and Maheshwari Family of Bankhedi. Maheshwari group has four major sugar companies in MP namely- Ramdev sugars, Narmada Sugars, Shakti Sugars mills Shriji Sugar and Power with a total crushing capacity of 8500 tcd. Goyal Group has two major sugar companies – Shree Durga Khadhsari sugar mills and Shree Kedareshwar Khandsari Udyog. The sugar mills of Maheshwari group are located in the fertile areas of Narsinghpur and Hoshangabad districts of central MP where the climatic conditions are fairly viable and irrigation is primarily through tube wells.
