Milk Mantra, a Odisha based dairy which started its operations with two dairy plants in Gop and Sambalpur is planning to expand its operations. It had acquired West Minister Dairy at Sambalpur for a cost of Rs. 100 million.
Currently, the company is marketing its produce under the brand ‘MooShake’. The product is blended with curcumin an extract from turmeric. Milk Mantra processes around 80000 litres of milk per day from its two units and it collects milk from more than 30000 farmers under its ethical milk sourcing programme.
It may be noted, in 2014, the company has raised series C funding of Rs.80 crore, led by Fidelity Growth Partners India and Aavishkaar India II Co. Ltd
