About the Company :
Established in 1933, Modi Sugar Mills laid the foundation of Umesh Modi Group. Located in Modi Nagar, Uttar Pradesh, it had an initial capacity of 500 tonnes of cane crushing per day (TCD) to manufacture plantation white sugar or crystal sugar, as popularly termed. Today, the capacity has grown to 5000 TCD.
In 2001, a 30 tonne per day (TPD), state-of-the-art sugar refinery was commissioned to manufacture premium quality, pharma-grade refined sugar that adhered to the strict Indian and British Pharmacopoeia standards. Today the refinery’s capacity has been enhanced to 200 TPD. Modi Sugar Mills has also established a plant to produce refined candy sugar, making it the only producer of the same in India.
