About the Company :
The Puducherry Coop. Sugar Mill is substantially funded by the Government of Puducherry. It has 18,400 Nos. of growers as Share
holders and rendering a exemplary service to the farming community to make the rural economy vibrant.
The Puducherry Coop. Sugar Mills Ltd is located at Lingareddipalayam, Puducherry spreading over 120 acres of land with a good
infrastructure such as sugar cane research farm, Sugar Mill, Residential quarters, 1600 seater Public School to cater the requirement of rural
children in the surrounding region.
This Mill has been registered in 1976 under Cooperative Societies Act 1972 and commenced its cane crushing operations on 13-01-1984
with a capacity of 1250 Tonnes Crushing per Day (TCD), following the double sulphitation process for production of white crystal sugar. The
plant capacity has gradually increased to 1750 TCD. This mill is giving direct employment to 600 people and indirect employment to 10,000
people.
