Based in Madhya Pradesh, the Sanwaria Group is engaged in the manufacture of soya bean oil and other soya products as well as trading of agricultural commodities. The group has a combined soya bean crushing capacity of 3250 TPD and refining capacity of 350 TPD. Sanwaria Agro Oils Limited (SAOL) is the flagship of the Sanwaria Group.

SAOL was incorporated in April 1991 by its Founder & Chairman, Mr. Ram Narayan Agarwal. It is primarily engaged in the crushing and processing of soya bean for extraction of soy oil and soy meal. The company has a c ombined capacity of 2500 tpd for soya bean crushing and extraction of crude oil and installed capacity of 250 tpd for oil refining located across three units in Madhya Pradesh: Itarsi, Mandideep and Betul.

The company has wind mills with a capacity of 8.4 MW located in Madhya Pradesh and Tamil Nadu.

SAOL has a subsidiary, Shrinathji Solvex Limited (SSL), which has a solvent extraction capacity of 750 tpd and refining capacity of 100 tpd in Harda, Madhya Pradesh. The said plant was acquired by the Sanwaria Group in September 2008 from the Aditya Birla Group.

Besides SAOL and SSL, the Sanwaria Group comprises three other companies, which are miniscule in relation to the overall group operations. These include Sanwaria Foods Limited, which operates a 70 tpd flour mill in Itarsi, Madhya Pradesh; Sanwaria Energy Limited, which is engaged in generation, distribution, supply and accumulation of electricity; Sanwaria Infrastructure Limited, which aims at construction and development of infrastructure.
