Sree Rayalseema Sugar & Energy Pvt Ltd was incorporated in the year 2001 to purchase the assets of M/s. Nandyal Co operative Sugars Limited, Nandyal with a view of reviving the sick sugar mill. The assets were bid in the year 2001 for Rs.6.01 cr and the takeover process was completed in the year 2003. Immediately after taking over, the unit was restarted and there onwards is continuously and successfully running. The capacity of the plant is 1250 tcd balanced to 1400 tcd. Prior to acquisition by SRSEPL, the company was under closure for 7 years.
