Narmada Sugar is planning to set up a distillery in Thaini in Bankhedi Post in Hoshangabad district in Madhya Pradesh. The project involves setting up of a molasses based distillery with a production capacity of 60 klpd. Land required for the project is already available. The project cost is estimated at ₹ 1984 million. The new distillery will produce ethanol. As of December 2018, the project is in planning stage.
