SBEC Sugars Ltd is planning to set up a distillery in Malakpur village in Baraut Tehsil in Baghpat district of Uttar Pradesh. The project involves setting up of a molasses based distillery with a production capacity of 100 klpd with an investment of ₹ 1050 million.
The new plant will produce extra neutral alcohol, rectified spirit and absolute alcohol (ethanol). Land required for the project is already available. As of December 2018, the project is in planning stage.
