Gemini Edibles & Fats India (GEF India) is planning to set up a vegetable oil refinery at the Tata Steel Industrial Park, Gopalpur, in Ganjam district of Odisha. The new manufacturing facility will have a production capacity of 396 tpa for refined sunflower oil, palm oil and vegetable fats. The project cost is estimated at ₹ 3,000 million and the plant will be spread over 25 acres.
The company has recently signed an MoU with the state government of Odisha during the Make in Odisha Conclave held in November 2018.
