Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs has removed restrictions on export of all varieties of edible oils, except mustard oil. The export of mustard oil will be allowed only in consumer packs upto 5kg and with a minimum export price of $900 per tonne. The move is expected to benefit the farmers by way of better realisation for oilseeds and also results in better capacity utilization of edible oil refineries.
